The Great Fitness Board Game Rules.               FAQS!

The Rules
  • Teams will roll the dice and move that amount of squares.
  • All teams must complete 20 high knees before every dice roll.
  • All teams are to move around the outside of the board, for player safety.
  • All teams must contain their exercise movements within the game square.
  • On arriving at a new square, all members of the team will do the stated exercises one at a time, the other team members must plank or squat hold whilst waiting their turn.
  • One team per square: if the square your team arrives at is full, your team must plank or star jump until the team using that square moves on.
  • Landing on Community Chess or Chance, one player selects a card from the relevant deck and the whole team must complete the challenge assigned.
  • In jail, you must roll a 6 to get out. If you fail to roll a 6 within three (3) rolls, each team member must do 6 burpees to leave. The '20 high knees per dice roll' rule remains.
  • After passing GO!, collect a cone & a team flag. The team with the most cones wins the game.
  • You may place your flag on any property on the board. Other teams must complete that exercise in addition to the property's listed workout. You may choose to put all your flags on the one property or stagger them.

Plant your flags strategically.

Stack them on one square to create a major roadblock or spread them out to slow down more teams across the board!
What if I'm not fit? Perfect, this is exactly the place to start. Pride Fitness is built on the principle that fitness is for every body, at every level. Our trainers design sessions so that beginners and experienced exercisers work side by side without anyone feeling out of their depth. You won't be judged, compared, or pushed past what's right for you. The only requirement is showing up.

What if I can't do an activity? No problem at all. Every exercise can be modified, and our trainers will offer alternatives so you can participate fully at your own level. If you have an injury, let us know before the session and we'll sort you out. Nothing is compulsory, rest is always an option too.

What should I bring? Bring a towel, a mat and some water and a competitive sense of fun.

What if I am coming alone?
We love this, we'll partner you up with someone and you'll probably make a new friend.

Event Rundown: Arrive 5:50am, game briefing & warm-up 6am. Game play starts 610am. Winners crowned 650am. Event ends, we head for coffee at own expense (optional but encouraged)

Tell me about your other boot camp. I thought you'd never ask! Regular Pride Fitness boot camp runs every Wednesday & Friday morning at Reid Oval.
We strive to make fitness fun and sessions are designed for mixed fitness levels, and built around a community where everyone belongs. If The Great Fitness Board Game is your first taste of group fitness, we'd love to see you become a regular.
